Why are you writing? The answer may affect how you proceed.
I started writing because I thought I had something to say, and I do, but what I had to say changed. I had some difficulties and wanted the world to know why I was different. But as I progressed from one draft into the next thinking I was done, my wife asked what was my story about and I'd take twenty minutes explaining. I actually didn't know.
I kept digging deeper and writing what I found. I felt compelled to find the answer, and now that I finally have my will to write has tapered off. I'm assuming it's just because I need to recharge my batteries.
