The Troubles is my memoir of being a "normal" kid who ends up in boarding school for seven years. The one thing that kept me going was knowing sooner or later my time would end and I'd get back to the States where I'd pick up from where I left off. Only it didn't work that way. By the time I  got back to the States everything had changed.
Lieutenant Aaron Christopher Taggart has vengeance on his mind. Having joined Earth’s elite Peacemakers force he seizes every opportunity to make the Narcosian enemy suffer for what they did. In his mind there are no boundaries. The ends justify the means. The Narcosians certainly don’t think anything of butchering innocent Earthers - look what they did to the colonists aboard the Minnis Bay, or to his parents, for that matter. But he discovers things are not as clear-cut as he believes.
It’s been more than two decades since fourteen year old Chris Taggart’s dad saved the Antaran. In return the Antarans gave Earth translight capability and a friend, Ambassador To’ruk.

When his parents are assigned to a deep space research station, Chris is ecstatic to be told he’ll be living with To’ruk and his family -- on Antara.

The fun turns to nightmare when news arrives that Taggart's parents have been murdered.

As Earth and alien dignitaries pay homage to his parents, plots a path to find the truth, a path that will ultimately lead him to The Peacemakers.
Helle is a book of poems written by my late mom, Helene Nixon. Most are about Ireland, and most of those are about The Troubles. But she also wrote about various places she visited or lived in - Saudi Arabia, Alaska, South Carolina, and though much of her work was very serious, she made room to be whimsical and humurous.

2nd Edition will be out soon with more poems.
In November 1979, Roger was working oil rigs in Louisiana when he suffered a traumatic brain injury (TBI) that left him brain damaged and memory impaired. As part of his rehabilitation, he took to writing poetry. Yet, he doesn't focus on his injury. Instead, he writes about the familiar world around him as he perceives it, whether it be Europe, the Middle East, or America.
